TONNOORU LAKE, Part-2.

...........Continued from part-1.

g1

I was searching for  Beach area at the Lakeside. One of the pathways led me here. Nobody was there and the place looked serene to me. The breach of water in the foreground  gave the feeling of fullness and I responded with my Canon 50D.

g2

The Beach area. A small road [dare to call it as road!!] takes us to  this area full of fine sand resembling a Sea beach. People play there, but on the day  and time of my visit, there were none. It was a boon to me and I went on shooting.
The Green in the picture indicates the presence of life in the  tree, symbolizing  the Hope.

g3

The hillock at the left of the picture is the one, which  stands between the main road and the lake.

g4

The right side of the beach area. In the background is the distant shore, from where  I shot some previous pictures.

Canon 50D was used to capture these photographs.

h1

The road- leading to Melukote. This road passes through the village "Kere thonnooru" ,  which we see prior to the lake.

h2

The rich and ripe Paddy fields in front of the lake.  I was impressed by the yellow tones and shot this picture.

h3

A pond has been formed by the outlets of water  from the Lake.  This pond has reflections and if there is no wind blowing,  it is worth a capture.

h4

I was looking for some element,  which stands out in the composition  and the Red roofed farm house caught my sight. I would say this picture has all the tones - both RGB and CMYK.

All four of the above photos were captured with a Canon compact PSSX220HS.

h5

The pond  and the tank bund area shot from the main road.  I have tried to record the reflection.

h6

This picture is a visual continuation of the previous one.

h7

A  wide perspective of the above images. The trees at the top left of the frame are on the banks of the lake.

h8

The same road leading to Keretonnooru. The road leads our eyes into the picture, and also is framed by trees on both sides and a person passing just exactly where  he should be- in terms of composition.  I  responded with my cam.

h9

The wide perspective  inspires me and the twist in the road also.  The road enters into centre of the frame,  with some people around.

h10

A small stone structure was at the roadside.  I included a tree to  balance it's position.

A canon compact- PS A720is was used  for the above shots.

h11

The pond offers  more possiblities of  reflections. This is a  different try.

h12

I wanted to display the breadth  of  the pond as well as  recording the blue reflections of the sky, hence this composition.

h13

Pavamana  had once captured a picture of high -raised lamp post  with cloud formation at Tunga Dam and it was in my mind. Here I have copied his composition by just replacing the lamp-post with a  tall tree.

All three of the above pictures were shot with Canon 50D.

h14

Now we have moved to the banks of the lake-the main area, where vehicle parking and shops are.
This  hillock is at the right side of the main area.

h15

The road and the pond  as seen from the main area. The rocks in the foreground breaks the monotony of greens.

 Canon 400D faithfully captured it.

h15a

An Autorickshaw was plying on the road below. I thought it would be nice to include it and shot with a wide perspective. Canon PS A720is has this wide mode and I used it here.

h15b

The same road, same Camera and different composition. The road passs throughout  the frame and turns to the left to enter the village.

h16

The pond and the road shot from the top of the hillock-  framed.

h16b

A panoramic view of  the pond below and the main road. Captured with Canon 720is and stitched.

h17

This Hill is at the left of the main area. The pathway  seen there leads down to reach the main road.

This one and the one before the last  were shot with a Canon 400D.

h18

The Mandapam near the banks  at the main area.  The Red colour present in the Mandapam contrasts with the Blue hues of sky and water.

h19

The same Mandapam shot from an opposite angle. The lines of steps lead our eyes to the Mandapam.

h20

The pathway at the main area.  At the end, is a small gate to cotrol the flow of water. The white coloured  stone structures lead our vision to there. Canon 50D was used for these pictures.

h21

Fishermen  relaxing in thair boats. This scene made a natural 2/3rd composition and I responded with my Canon PS 720is compact.

h22

The engraved board containing the details of  the lake.

h23

Some local boys preparing to dive.

Now let's move on to Sunsets. Tonnooru lake is  very much ideal place for shooting Sunsets. I have explored only a few possiblities.

h24

The Mandapam at the Sunset.

h25

Sunsets are more effective when silhoutted with some interesting foreground elements. Here my friend posed with his wife  for me to make the picture complete.

h26

The Sunset framed  from inside the Mandapam.

h27

The Sunset with the Mandapam- the Sun dominates the picture here, unlike the previous one where it is not so. For all the Sunscapes above a Canon 50D was used.

There are other three Lakes, smaller in size. around this one. A separate post has been made for them.

to be continued......
